Christine Varley
Originally from the Cotswolds, Christine Varley has been working since 1987 as a Pet and Animal Portrait Artist. She is now recognised as one of the leading Artists in her field.
Christine is a great lover of all animals, which is reflected in her paintings and understands
the importance of the relationship between owners and their pets. (View her Pets here).
Whilst studying at Coventry University for her graphic design BA Hons degree, she painted
pictures of the pretty Cotswold villages and sold them in the local galleries.
During the 1980s a publishing company, distributed prints produced from Christine Varley original pencil illustrations and watercolour paintings. These sold nationwide in their thousands.
Developing her style as a Pet Portrait artist Christine has a reputation for capturing the very character of the animal she is painting. Her experience enables her to advise her clients on the best pose & layout for the painting. Her work has been sent all over the world.
The current range of Christine Varley Products is called WaggyDogz. Featuring dog breed images and other animals as Greetings Cards, Mugs & Coasters, Keyrings, Cushions, Prints and Canvas Art.
Her work is exhibited at Crufts & the major Horse Trial Events. Companies and Charities she has work with include. Central TV, Vanish, Tesco, Red Letter Days, Daily Express, Daily Mail, Dogs Trust, Kennel Club & The Brooke.
